Salvation

Romans 10:9-10 NIV
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Membership

1 Corinthians 3:6-9 NIV
6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.

HAMBC is a place to gather together to learn and grow in God’s ministry. Our Pastor often refers to Harrison Avenue as being a hospital for sick people. We are not a perfect people but we are striving to do our best in the eyes of God and share God’s love with others.

 Membership is not a requirement to attend, but we are always excited when someone expresses an interest in being an “official” member of our church. At the end of each service, our Ministry Team will extend an invitation for those who have newly accepted Christ and/or would like to become members to come forward. They are accepted as members under one of the following categories:

·  Baptism (a date will be scheduled)

·  Christian Experience (believer previously baptized at another church)

·  Letter (from previous church)

·  Restoration
